FAQ's About Tigers Teeth Sharpener & Blades

Here's a list of common questions and there answers:

Q: How long will the grinding wheels last?

A: I've sharpened a ton of blades and I've never worn one out. The grinding wheels are electroplated with either diamond or cubic boron nitride (CBN). I've used electro plated grinding wheels on my CNC grinder at 30,000rpm+ and they have lasted for years. So, at this point, I'm not sure how many blades the Tigers Teeth will sharpen, but it's way more than enough to pay for itself many times over.

Q: What's the difference between the diamond and CBN versions?

A: Diamond is for carbide blades and CBN is for steel blades.

Q: Where are the Tigers Teeth Multi-Blade Sharpeners made?

A: Made USA and imported parts. I try to source or make as many parts as possible in the USA. Some parts I have to import.

Q: What happens to the teeth offset when I resharpen blades?

A: It depends upon the blade. For oscillating blades, you will need add an offset back into the blade after putting new teeth on it and occassionally when resharpening it. The best way I've found to add an offset is with blade offset pliers. They are available many places including Amazon.

Q: How does this compare to Sharp Pog?

A: Pretty much completey different in every way. The Sharp Pog doesn't really form teeth as much it does slots in blade. The TT Multi-Blade Sharpener makes actual properly formed factory like teeth...and can resharpen those teeth by removing very little material per sharpen. Plus, the TT can sharpen hole saws, reciprocating blades, circular saw blades, drill bits, repair threads, deburr metal and more. It can also grind both steel and carbide. The TT power is a power tool and doesn't require a drill to operate.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Michigan, USA

Q: How long will delivery take?

A: It primarily depens upon my build time. If I have a lot of orders, it usually takes a few weeks plus whatever the actually shipping time is. I haven't run into it yet, but in theory, if I sell out of parts and there is a delay from my supplier, then possible longer.
